
Barbara K. Stultz, 79, of Coal City passed away on Monday June 22. 2020 in Union Hospital. She was born in Greene County, Indiana on May 26, 1941 to Ermal and Louise (Griffith) Beatty.
Barbara was a 1959 graduate of Switz City High School. She started the Center for Women’s ministry in Clay City and was their director and counselor. Barbara had spent many years in Haiti serving her Lord as a missionary. She would sponsor and minister several children from Haiti and provided much needed medical attention. Barbara was very active leading and teaching bible studies. She wrote several articles about scriptures and was youth leader for the Clay City Free Methodist Church. Along with her former husband, they managed the Free Methodist Church Campground. Barbara enjoyed NASCAR, traveling and all wildlife. Professionally, Barbara owned and managed several investment properties in the area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ermal and Louise Beatty; and a son, Roger Stultz.
Survivors include her son, Bradley Stultz; a daughter, Susan Stultz-Johnson; brothers, Joe and David Beatty; and several grand and great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 26, 2020 in Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 E. 8th Street, Clay City with Pastor Tracy Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Beech Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the funeral home and on Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM.
