Marietta Haverkamp, 82 of Brazil passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Exceptiional Living Center of Brazil. She was born on April 6, 1938 in Greenup, IL to Dwight and Stella Mae (Sparks) Moses.

Marietta attended Cumberland High School in Greenup. She was a homemaker. Marietta enjoyed reading, watching the Golden Girls, old westerns, crocheting and following the Cincinnati Reds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Stella Mae Moses; her loving husband of 38 years, George H. Haverkamp; brothers, Dwight and Everett Moses; and sisters, Anise Hanly, Phillis Modesitt, Aileen Brandenburg, Geraldine Lovett and Avis Adamson.

Survivors include sons, James A Haverkamp and Patrick Haverkamp and wife, Krissy, daughters, Sheryl Mae Woolley and Anna Hensley, brothers, Roscoe, Harve and Ray Moses; grandchildren, George P. Hillenburg and wife Jaclyn, Samantha Vanatti, Christopher and Andrew Gober, Nicholas Townzen, Luke, Johnathan, Jacob Elder, Caitlyn, Alyssa Haverkamp, Tylor and Jordan Hensley, great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon Hillenburg, Tristan, Allicia and Carter Vincent; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2020 in Clearview Cemetery, 3630 W. Indiana Hwy 340, Brazil, IN 46834 with pastor Libby Christenberry officiating.
