Doris Mae Rentschler, 87, of Clay City, last location Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana

She was born on August 18, 1933, in Owen County the daughter of William Haviland and Mildred (Stevens) Haviland.

She attended Faith Southern Baptist Church in Clay City, Indiana. Doris enjoyed reading books and working crossword puzzles. She worked for the city of Clay City managing the Senior Citizens Housing and enjoyed being a homemaker caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Cleve Rentschler and two infant sons.

Doris is survived by her sons; Greg Rentschler (Rhonda) of Center Point, Glen Rentschler (Cara) of Maine, daughter; Cindy Gandy (Doug) of Brownsburg, brother; John Haviland of Coal City, sister Willa Defore, six granddaughters and twelve great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Beech Cemetery with Pastor Roger Bear officiating.
