Richard W. Mott, Jr., 55 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 8:41 PM in Union Hospital.  He was born in Terre Haute on November 12, 1964 to Richard W. Mott, Sr. and Patricia G. Douglas Mott.

Richard was a member of King’s Harvest Foursquare Gospel Church.  He loved to spend time with his grandbaby and joke and cut-up, as well as being a huge Miami Dolphins fan.

Richard is survived by his parents, Richard W. Mott, Sr. and Patricia G. Mott, and his daughter, Lacey Mott.  He is also survived by his two sisters, Tammy Harden (Troy), and Penny Arthur (Tom), and his grandson, Haiden Long, and nieces and nephews; Darrick Harden (Laci), Tara Arthur, and Jackson Arthur, as well as great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Mott.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Dennis Leek and Pastor Troy Isles officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  The family would like to thank all the ICU Nurses at Union Hospital and especially Palliative Care nurse Chelsea Kaiser for the exceptional care given to Richard as a patient at Union Hospital.
