Mary Margaret Gentry, 95, of Brazil, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 27, 2020.

Mary was born on February 5, 1925, the daughter of Lewis and Leah (Redenbarger) Duregger. She graduated from Jasonville High School with the class of 1943. She married Charles L. Gentry Sr. on March 1, 1944; he preceded her in death on December 16, 1994.

Mary was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Terre Haute. She enjoyed music and reading and spending time with her family and best friend Francie Wyndham.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Leah Duregger, her husband Charles Gentry Sr., a son Charles “Jay” Gentry Jr., siblings: Frank Duregger, Mabel McCullough, and Lucille Duregger.

Mary is survived by two daughters: Mary Kapur (V.N.) of California and Alice Hamilton of Brazil; grandchildren: Darrell E. Hamilton (Christine), Lynn Hamilton and Jay Kapur (Nicole); great-grandchildren: Robert Conner (Kathleen), Rebekah Hamilton, Ivan Hamilton, Jaelyn Funk, and Damon Funk; great-great-granddaughter: Claire Conner as well as many extended family members.

Graveside services will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery on October 2, 2020 at 2:00pm with Pastor Tom Roeschlein officiating. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in her memory.
