Peter Alan Smith, 56, of Brazil, Indiana passed away on October 12, 2020 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born January 23, 1964, the son of Edward Earl Smith and Thelma Jane Colclasure.

Peter was a truck driver for over 22 years. He loved his John Deer tractor, helping neighbors with outdoor work, and collecting scrap vehicles. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of EAGLES # 274. Peter loved spending leisurely time with C-6 Carbon Friends. Above all, Peter loved his grandchildren. He loved teaching them about nature, the outdoors, and what God created.

He is survived by his wife, whom he married on May 7, 1988, Carla Marie (Frame) Smith, son; Anthony Smith (Mary Riddell), daughters; Heather Lawrence (Dylan), Hickory Smith, Angela Boswell (John), brothers; Dan Wheeler (Joyce), Steve Colclasure (Debbie), Samuel Colclasure, Wayne Colclasure (Mary), Sisters, Elaine Langman (Wayne) and Lana Perkins, grandchildren; Amy, Lynzie, Amelia,Estella, Norah, Jensen, Theo, Caydence, Lariat, Colt, Jackson, and Avery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Kimberly Colclasure, and baby brother, Johnny Phillip Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Staunton Community Center on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 1:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Peter at the Staunton Community Center. Envelopes will be available.
