On October 10, 2020, Patricia A. Mathas “Patsy”, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, closed her eyes and went with Jesus to heaven.  She resided at Meadows Manor East nursing facility. She was the daughter of Wilburn and Juanita Schultz, deceased of Brazil, born January 23, 1936.  She was survived in death by her 3 children Christopher A. Mathas and wife Betsy from Oregon; Gayla Ann Hanson and her 2 sons Christopher Eveland, Ryan Eveland and wife Jennifer and their 3 children Presley, Carson and Billie Grace of Texas; Susan Ridge of Brazil and her 4 daughters Alicia Mathis her husband Dale and their 2 children Abigail and Ryan; Kelsi J. Heiliger and her 3 children Kayli, Malachi and Dakota; Donna Sue Ridge and her son A.J.; and youngest daughter Madison Ridge. She also leaves behind her beloved sister and caregiver Judy Winklepleck and her husband Steven of Terre Haute as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Snider and two brothers, Charles E. Schultz and Robert Schultz. Pat was an accomplished pianist with AA degree in music and taught music in her home for several years.  She later managed and operated 2 Rug Crafter stores in California where she made a very large Brazil Red Devils rug for a Brazil class reunion and is now on display in the Brazil Historical Society.  Once her stores closed she moved back to Brazil to take care of her mother until she died. Greiner Funeral Home is assisting the family with a graveside burial at Clearview Cemetery in Brazil, on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at 5:00p.m.A celebration of life may be scheduled at a later date.
