Charley E. Lowe, 81 of Terre Haute and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away at 7:49 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in his granddaughter’s residence. He was born in Vigo County on February 13, 1939 to Albert Lowe and Lela Guess Lowe.

Charley was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a Life Member of the West Terre Haute American Legion Post # 501. He enjoyed going to auctions, riding four-wheelers and side-by-sides, and fishing.

Charley is survived by his three children; Charley Alan Lowe (Pam), Robin Dis Pennett (Tony), and Danny John Lowe (Laurie). Also surviving are his grandchildren; Joseph Jackson, Damien Lowe, Jessica Anderson (Brandon), Mark Dis Pennett II, Amber Kasinger (Zackery), and Melinda Hoke, and ten great grandchildren; Cadee, Jasmine, Katie, Brianna, Andrew, Anna, Abbie, Hannah, Nancy, and Torin. He also leaves behind his sister, Theodora Orndorff and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Karen Jo Orman Lowe on July 18, 2012, a granddaughter, Trish Taylor, and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 1:00 PM, with Scott Myers officiating, with burial to follow in Durham Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
