Barbara Jean (Schopmeyer) Powell, 86, of Poland, Indiana, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care on November 11, 2020.

Barbara was born on November 17, 1933 the daughter of Clayburn and Minnie (Waldron) Schopmeyer. She graduated from Bowling Green High School. She married Robert Powell on September 12, 1954. Barbara graduated from Harrold Beauty Academy and worked as a Beautician for many years.

She was a former member of the Jordan Presbyterian Church, 50 year member of the Bowling Green Order of the Eastern Star, Jackson Township Better Homemakers Club, and Republican Precinct Committee Person.

Barbara loved to play Bingo, flower gardening, bowling, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Clayburn and Minnie Schopmeyer, her husband Robert Powell, a brother Robert “Bud” Schopmeyer, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her children: Wayne Powell and wife Connie of Bowling Green, IN, Bradley Powell Sr. and wife Kim of Poland, IN, and Angela Powell of Poland; grandchildren: Heather Wallen (David), Matt Jordan (Jodie Byrd), Wade Powell (Melanie), Misty Armstrong (Brian), Bradley Powell Jr., Patty Powell, Anthony Bowman (Cami), Angelina Bowman, and Kayla Harbaugh; siblings: Ronald Schopmeyer (Nancy), Kaaren Kennedy, Loretta Pellam and husband Frank; great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and aunt to many.

Private services will be at French Funeral Home.
