Dorothy Mae Schroer, 97, of Clay City, IN, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care on November 12, 2020.

Dorothy was born on October 5, 1923 in Parke County, Indiana the daughter of Arvad A. and Blanche M. (Walker) Jenks. She graduated from Bowling Green High School with the class of 1941. Dorothy married Hubert B. Schroer on December 31, 1944. He preceded her in death in 2008. Dorothy was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arvad and Blanche Jenks; her husband Hubert B. Schroer; a son Marvin Schroer; brothers Howard Jenks and Harold Jenks in infancy; a sister Virginia Jenks in infancy; and a 2 year old brother Max Jenks; a daughter-in-law Theresa Schroer.

Dorothy is survived by her son Hal Schroer of Minnesota; two daughters: Lorene F. Scobee and husband Jim of Brownsburg, IN and Mary Yegerlehner and husband Alan of Clay City, IN; daughter-in-law Mary Schroer Marlow and husband John of Bowling Green; grandchildren: Mark Schroer (Tracy), Lynda Pyron (Rick), Emma Schroer, Tina Teskey (Merle), Robin Dragon (Dan), Kate Cobb (Doug), Luke Yegerlehner (Lauren), Jess Yegerlehner, Braiden Rains, David Schroer (Jennifer), Cole Schroer (Christine), Adam Schroer (Kayla); 4 step-grandchildren; 15 step-great-grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother Don Jenks (Barb) of Florida.
