Donna Marie Jones, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday November 12, 2020 in her residence. Donna was born in Evansville Indiana on December 12, 1937 to Roy C. Newcomb and Flossier F. Aud Newcomb. Donna was a retired teacher for the Vigo County School Corporation for over 25 years retiring from Rio Grande Elementary. Donna was a graduate of Indiana State Teachers College (Indiana State University) where she received her Master’s Degree. She was a lifelong member of Terre Haute First Baptist Church. She was involved in Kids Hope, a member of the Choir at First Baptist and was a member of the Women’s Choir through Purdue Extension. She and her husband were members of Swinging Mates Square Dancing Club and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jack Newcomb and her son, David Mark Jones. She is survived by her husband, David Jones of Terre Haute whom she married September 8, 1956. She is survived by two daughters; Dawn Forche and her husband Phillip of Rockport, IN and Docia M. Richard and her husband Paul of Bay City, Texas. She is survived by one granddaughter, Madison Richard and two nephews; Bruce and Gary. Graveside Services are scheduled for Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pastor Steve Newman will be officiating. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804 was entrusted with arrangements.
