
Ronald “Harley” Eugene Harden, 69, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Union Hospital on November 18, 2020 following a lengthy illness.
Harley was born on December 25, 1950, in Brazil, Indiana, the son of Max and Dora (Burkett) Harden. He graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1968. Following high school he served in the Air National Guard . Harley worked for Peabody Coal, Doan and Decker Ford, and most recently the Clay County Highway Department.
When he wasn’t working he enjoyed watching NASCAR and baseball. He was a lifetime member of the Clay Youth League. Harley was very involved in his kids and grandkids sporting events. He coached baseball for his son and daughter. He absolutely loved going to watch his kids and grandkids sporting events, even traveling with his grandson Dylan‘s traveling team.
Harley was preceded in death by his father Max Harden.
Harley is survived by his wife Rose (Paullus) Harden whom he married on November 18, 1978. He is also survived by his mother Dora (Burkett) Harden; a daughter Cassie Zentko of Brazil; a son Tony Harden (Holly) of Terre Haute; grandchildren: Dylan Zentko, Max Harden, and Nolan Harden; a brother John Harden; a sister Denise Mishler (Keith); as well as many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834 on November 23, 2020 from 4-8.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clay Youth League PO Box 18 Brazil, Indiana 47834.
Due to the recent mandates social distancing and mask wearing will be required. The mandate also requires no more than 25 people in attendance at a given time. Please remain in your vehicle and you will be welcomed in per vehicle.
