Nancy J. Hyatt, 68, lifelong resident of Clay City, Indiana passed away at Union Hospital on November 20, 2020.

She was born in Clay County, Indiana on March 29, 1952 the daughter of Harlan and Ann (Tiefel) Hummel. She graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1970. She received an associates degree from Indiana Business College. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Buell for many years. She was currently working at the Clay City Center for Family Medicine where she served as a receptionist.

Nancy was a member of the Clay City First United Church of Christ. She loved spending time with her family and serving her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harlan and Ann Hummel and a son John David Hyatt.

Nancy is survived by her husband John Dean Hyatt whom she married on March 24, 1972. She is also survived by two sons: Jeff Hyatt and wife Shelly of Clay City and Ross Hyatt and wife Kelly of Clay City; grandchildren: John Hyatt and wife Emily of Clay City, Emily Hyatt, Tyler Martin, and Emma Hyatt; a sister Cathy Collins and husband Randy of Clay City, Vonda Hummel, Alan Hummel of Clay City, and Claudia Moss and husband Larry of Clay City as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Private graveside services will be held at St. Peters Cemetery.
