
Ken Allen Vanatti, 51, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at IU Hospital, on December 6, 2020.
He was born in Brazil, Indiana the son of William Chester and Karen Sue (Danhour) Vanatti. He graduated from Northview High School with the class of 1988. He also attended Ivy Tech for 2 years. Ken worked at Great Dane and most recently Hartland Automotive, in Greencastle before retiring due to receiving a kidney and pancreas transplant.
Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, smoking food, grilling, riding his motorcycle, going out to eat, and telling bad jokes.
Ken was preceded in death by his father William Chester “Chet” Vanatti a sister Tracy Vanatti in infancy.
Survivors include his wife Holly Halfhill Vanatti whom he married on August 22, 2011. Four children: Cody Vanatti and wife Ciara, Brady Vanatti and fiancé Heather Austin, Dillenger Wilkinson, and Leia Renee Vanatti; grandchildren: Kayne Dixon, Khloe Votaw, Kenna Vanatti, Albany Vanatti, and Maddyn Vanatti; a sister Jean Vanatti Dean and husband Randy and a brother William Eugene Vanatti and wife Cheryl; mother and father-in-law Effie and Clyde Halfhill; as well as several extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834 on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 4-8pm. Services will be held at the funeral home, on Friday, at 11am with burial to follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
