Timothy Wayne Ohneck, 73, died of Covid in Putnamville Prison on Friday, December 4th, 2020, seven weeks from the end of a 2-year sentence. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Tim was a troubled, restless soul who struggled throughout his life with mental illness, sometimes causing pain to his family, friends, and community. However, many remember that when Tim was healthy and at his best, he was a good-hearted, charismatic, handsome man who was passionate about music, talented with his hands, and who genuinely wanted the best for others. He worked as a carpenter for many years, but his dream of building a cabin on Muncie Lake was never realized. He is survived by two brothers and five children, all of whom are thankful that he finally found the peace that eluded him in life. He was cremated and buried at Marion National Cemetery, in Marion, Indiana.
