
Virginia Lee Vannice, 74, of Poland, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 in her residence. She was born in Clay County, IN on April 25, 1946 to William and Frances (Akers) Courtney.
Virginia was a 1964 graduate of Brazil High School. On March 11, 1967 she married the love of her life, Phillip Vannice. Virginia was a clerk at the former Sixteen Plus Ladies Apparel Store, in the Greenwood Mall. She was a devoted housewife and along with her husband, raised their family. Virginia liked to read, sew, work crossword puzzles and cook.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, William and Frances Courtney.
Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years, Phillip Vannice; a son, Ryan Vannice and wife, Kristina; a daughter, Stacy Quillen and husband, Chris; grandchildren, David Vannice, Gage and Gavin Quillen; and two brothers, Larry Courtney and wife, Bev and Darrell Courtney and wife, Judi.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2020 in Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702, E. National Avenue with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating.
