On the evening of Friday, December 11, 2020, Elaine Collins, 75, of Riley moved to her Heavenly home. Elaine was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family and set an example for her children and grandchildren that will lead them all their lives.

Elaine was born at home in Cory, Indiana on November 22, 1945 to the late Ernest Modesitt and Francis (Hull) Modesitt. Elaine married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Collins, who survives, on October 23, 1964 at Saline City Church.

Elaine loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, with all her heart, and she loved God’s Word. Though she was a humble, gentle woman, Elaine was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful praying have had on her family, her friends, and the world at large. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend with a servant’s heart and a passion for helping others. Elaine was an active member of the Riley Lions Club and profoundly involved with Blackhawk Community Church. She had a passion for embroidery and created many beautiful pieces.

Elaine is also survived by her daughters Tina Lorenzen and husband Bobby of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Kristy McCullough and her husband Matt of Riley, Indiana and their three precious boys, Kaleb, Mason, and Kevin, sister Wanda Hylton of Riley, Indiana and several nieces and nephews, all who were very dear to Elaine’s heart. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Modesitt and Alvin Modesitt.

The family would like to extend special appreciation to all of the prayers and support during this unprecedented time. Family is asking that everyone send them ways that Elaine has touched their lives. Together they will share these stories in a memorial service at a later date.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a private graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday December 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will follow.

The family suggest that if friends so desire, donations may be made to Blackhawk Community Church, 12655 SR 159, Pimento, Indiana 47866
