Christina “Chris” Pollitt, 80, of Riley, passed away Sunday December 13, 2020 in her residence surrounded by her family. Chris was born in West Terre Haute on November 17, 1940 to George Kruse and Ann Hinnington Kruse. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a former member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the Riley Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting, Hummingbirds and traveling to Florida with her family. She was an avid sports fan, enjoying basketball, football, hockey and especially Indiana University Sports. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Timmy Kruse and Terry Kruse. She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Pollitt whom she married June 24, 1960. Two daughters; Cindy Cox (Wayne) and Angela O’Neal (Steve) all of Terre Haute. She is survived by grandchildren; Heather Long (Brandon), Craig O’Neal (Stevi), Connor O’Neal (Jodi), Stevie Highsmith (Madi) and great grandchildren; Tristin, Isaiah, Daxton, Olivia, Brianna and Natalie. Services are Thursday December 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Visitation is from 12:00 p.m. Noon until service time on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Lee will be officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
