Ronald Keith Ream, 80 of Center Point, passed away on January 11, 2021 at Cloverleaf Healthcare of Knightsville.
Ron was born April 8, 1940 in Center Point, the son of the late Albert and Nancy “Florence” (Steiner) Ream. He graduated from Brazil High School. He was a resident of Center Point all his life. After graduating high school, Ron worked for many years at J I Case in Terre Haute, never missing a day of work. He enjoyed working in his garden, hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsa Louraine in infancy, Shirley Schlegal in 1960 and Jane Schuster in 1965; two brothers, William Franklin Ream in 2004 and Donald Leroy Ream in 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two nephews, William Schlegel of Newport, NC and Larry Schlegel and his wife Stella of Coal City; one niece Rita Kennedy and her husband Mike of Richland, WA.; two great nephews, Christopher Kennedy (Carolyn) and daughter MaryAnne of Huntsville, AL., Nathan Kennedy (Rachel) and daughter Mikayla of Richland WA.; one great niece Becky Truax and son Casey Truax and daughter Kylee Truax (Chance) of Coal City, IN.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery. His family has entrusted Schoppenhorst Funeral Home with his care.
