On Thursday December 31, 2020, surrounded by family, Dwin Cornell Roberts was called from earth to heavens reward at the age of 59.

Dwin was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 9, 1961, to the late Estella Smith. Dwin grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana, where he attended and graduated from South Vigo High School in 1980. Thereafter he joined the United States Army, where he served for 14 years with honorable discharge in 1994. Dwin worked for BMB Foods and Columbia House for 10+ years.

In 2002, Dwin moved to South Bend, Indiana, where he became a member of New Testament Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Allen Gary Sr., where the Pastor Steven Barnes Sr. now resides. Dwin served on the Usher Board.

Dwin worked for AM General for 8 years. Dwin was united in matrimony to Angela Denise Beane Roberts May 29, 2004.

Dwin was preceded in death by Estella Smith (mother), Quincy Smith (step-father), Mary Fannie Roberts (grandmother), Sylvester Roberts (brother), Thomas Roberts, Cornelius Roberts, Ray Roberts.

Leaving to cherish his memory, his wife Angela Roberts, his sisters, Darlene (Gary) McCaskill, Charlene Payne and one surviving brother, Brian Stewart, all of Terre Haute, Indiana. Dwin had 3 daughters, Kara Roberts, October Roberts (of Terre Haute, Indiana) Ashely Roberts of Oklahoma, and one son, Lamont Martins of Terre Haute, Indiana. Dwin had 20 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews. Two special friends, Jimmy Smith and Trent Hart.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Greiner Funeral Home. A visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Dwin will be buried in Stewart Lawn Cemetery at a later time.
