Adam Leroy Sims, 47, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 29, 1974 in Terre Haute to Paul Leroy Sims, Sr., and Darlene (Luttrell) Sims Cooper.
Adam is survived by his mother Darlene Cooper and step-father, Lonnie Cooper of Terre Haute; sister, Samantha Faye Sims; brother, Paul Leroy Sims Jr., both of Terre Haute; nieces, Brandy Sims and Nicki Sims Fleshner, both of Terre Haute; nephews, Douglas Dwayne Brockman and wife Krysteena of Texas and Joshua Scott Fields; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Leland and Nevaeh Roberts of Terre Haute; Bently and Bailey Fleshner of Terre Haute; Dwayne, Elaina, Nathaniel, Ethan, and Lakota Brockman of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Leroy Sims, Sr. and his grandparents, George W. and Helen Maxine Luttrell.

Adam worked as a dishwasher at Jonesies East Side Café and Becky’s Café. He also had worked as a stocker for Save-A-Lot. Adam enjoyed helping people and always did painting, cleaning, and odd jobs for those who needed it and never asked for a thing in return. He loved to watch martial arts themed movies and television. He especially enjoyed Bruce Lee movies. Adam was a hard worker with a generous spirit and a heart of gold. He will be missed.

In accordance with Adam’s wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date during better times to come.
