Betty Rose (Webster) Riddell

Betty Rose Riddell, 90, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Villas of Holly Brook in Brazil. She was born in Paoli, Indiana on January 24, 1930 to the late John and Louella (Longest) Webster. During childhood her family moved to Brazil and she later married John Riddell on October 22, 1960. She worked at the Blue Bonnet Restaurant, Columbia Records, and in her later years helped keep records at the family farm.

When they weren’t working on the farm Betty and John enjoyed spending winters in Florida. She enjoyed singing karaoke, mushroom hunting, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her husband John; and her siblings, Tom (Mildred) Webster, Mary Ann (Cecil) Isom, Dorothy Jean (O’Neal) Guyer, Ruth (Dean) Cherry, Lena (J.Harold) Evans, and Jack (Jonel) Webster.

She is survived by her son, JC (Lori) Riddell of Brazil; brother, Bill (Reva) Webster of Brazil; grandchildren, Brodie (Lynsey) Riddell and Brylie Riddell; great-granddaughters, Berkley and Letty Jo; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with Betty’s funeral arrangements. A private graveside service will be held at Calcutta Cemetery with Pastor Bill Price officiating.
