Nancy May Short, 91, went to be with the Lord and many loved ones on February 12, 2021 while residing at Cloverleaf Healthcare. She was born August 10, 1929 to the late Archie and Mabel (Archer) Foxworthy. Nancy graduated from Van Buren High School in 1947 and then married the love of her life, Phillip Short on September 17, 1948.
During her lifetime she had several jobs, but her last and most rewarding job was home health care. She truly loved taking care of her patients. Nancy was a member of Fairview Christian Church and Fairview Ladies Aide. Nancy, along with her husband, Phil, were sponsors of Fairview CYF. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, garden and enjoyed watching the birds, but spending time with family was the most important part of her life. Until her health started declining, the entire family was welcome at her house for lunch every Sunday. She was happiest when her house was full of family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, and her siblings, Ernest, Albert, Hubert, Virginia and great-grandson, Tanner Standley.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Tonetta Kohler (John), Nancy Nevins (Rick), and Lauren Short. Grandchildren, Scott Standley (Cindy), Nikki Lalen (Stoney), Robinne Standley (Anthony), Shannon Nevins, Shelly Atkinson (D.J.), Doug Nevins (Christy), Amber Stephenson (Dave), Michael Short (Shyleigh), and Bailey Lumsdon (Jared).
