Myrtle M. Davis, 85 of Terre Haute, formerly of Brazil, passed away March 11, 2021 at the Gibson Hospice Center at Union Hospital.

She was born November 30, 1935 in Terre Haute, the daughter of Lyman Cole and Eunice Nicholas Cole. As a young lady, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Hardy’s Nursing Home in Knightsville. She was married to David Davis and together they raised their family in Vigo County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman, and Eunice Cole Jones; her husband David Davis; one sister Carol Hurst; an infant son, Jody Maners; daughter, Vicki Davis, a son, David Davis, and a great-grandson Steven Brandenburg.

Survivors include her loved ones, Larry Davis (Pam), Danny Davis, Marcella Deverick, Penny Byrer (Bruce), Lorri Davis and Monica Davis, Danielle Rilenge (Ben), and Janice Nelson (David); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 1:00pm at French Funeral Home with Pastor Rick May officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
