Keith M. Bean died April 12, 2021. He was born in Maquoketa, Iowa to Betty (Brown) Commet, and raised by his father, Glen Commet, in Petersburg, Michigan. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970 and went on to be trained as a Hospital Corpsman with a specialty as a preventative medicine technician. He served on the USS William Wood, USS Guadalcanal, and the USS Forrestal and assisted at Camp Pendleton with the refugees after the fall of Saigon. He had to get a medical discharge after a bout with cancer in 1982. He worked with the US Postal Service from December 1984 to April 1988 when he got when he got the offer to go to college at Indiana State University and graduated with a degree in Environmental Health. He later went to work for the Vigo County Group Home and helped several troubled youths. Most of all his proudest moments was being a husband and father to his three daughters, he was told he would never have. He was of the Catholic faith. Keith was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. He was very fond of lighthouses, and loved to sit in the back yard and watch the hummingbirds.

He married Diane L. Brown on July 26, 1979 in Arlington, Virginia and they were together 41 years. He leaves wife, his daughters, Mary, Teresa, and Deidre, brothers, Brent (Jenny) Bean, and Duane (Nancy) Commet. Also surviving are four nieces, and one nephew, and two great nephews, and great niece. He will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

A visitation is scheduled for Keith on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 am to 1 pm in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804.
