Marilyn Sue Wells, 84, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on June 23, 2021 following a battle with dementia.

Marilyn was born in Clay County, Indiana on August 13, 1936, the daughter of Earl and Tressie L. (Sharp) Griffin. She graduated from Van Buren High School. Marilyn married Donald Wells; he preceded her in death.

Marilyn and Don raised two sons: Jeff and Rick. Marilyn was a devoted wife and mother. She loved caring for her family and others.

Marilyn regularly attended Bethel United Methodist Church until she became ill. She was also an active member of the Zeta Kappa sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Tressie Griffin; her husband Donald Wells; siblings: John, Earl, Charles, Maurice, and Marguerite.

Survivors include her sons Jeff Wells and wife Lynda and Rick Wells and wife Norma; grandchildren: Matthew Wells (Amanda Sanders), Austin Wells (Becca), Nicholas Wells (Ashley), Bill Wells (Kelsy), and Adam Wells (Ashley); great-grandchildren: Addelyn Wells, Oakleigh Wells, Bronson Wells, Kaden Wells, Aidan Maurey, Granger Wells, Maverick Wells, Haddon Wells, Lane Sanders, and Maelin Sanders; as well as many extended family members.

Visitation will be at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Monday, June 28, 2021 from 4-7pm. Services will follow at 7:00pm with Pastor Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Clearview Cemetery.
