Vivian Mary Mercurio, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on July 14, 2021, following 95 years of an adventure filled life.

Vivian, or Mary as she was known to many, was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on September 19, 1925, the daughter of Walter and Ruey (Silvers) Shelburn. Mary graduated from Van Buren High School. She worked as a secretary for Zayre Department Store, in Hollywood, Florida for many years. Mary was an avid reader and loved to learn. She also enjoyed antiques and collecting a myriad of “treasures”. Paramount in her life was traveling. Mary had traveled the world over. She had been to Russia, Italy, Germany, Australia, and England to name a few. These adventures shaped her world view and allowed her to share many wonderful stories with family and friends. Mary also enjoyed studying family history. She and her daughter Barbara had traced their family lineage back many, many generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dominic Mercurio and a son Steven “Mitch” Mitchell Green; siblings: Don, Honey, and Louise; a grandchild Cynthia Suzanne Daugherty; and a great-granddaughter Halie Hite.

Survivors include her children: Susan Daugherty (Joe), Jerrie Green, Tom Green (Anne), and Barbara Green; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Pat, Lee, and Marc; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
