Dennis J. Finke, Sr., 72, of West Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021 in Waters of Greencastle.

He was born July 4, 1949 in Glens Falls, New York to William August Finke and Addie Augusta Cleveland Finke Roberts.

Dennis served in the United States Army. He was a truck driver for 45 years. Dennis was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church, Indiana Oath Keepers, and the VFW Post 6574 in West Terre Haute. His kids and grandkids were his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Finke; his mother, Addie Roberts; stepfather, William Roberts; brother, William Finke; and his K-9 companion, Lizzy.

Dennis is survived by his children, Denise Frey, Tina Scott (Robert), and Dennis J. Finke, Jr.; his sister, Martha Vaughn; his beloved grandchildren, Kayla Pyne, Dennis Finke III, Alivia Finke, Aaliyah Finke, Jaxon Scott and Landen Scott. He is also survived by this ex-wife and friend, Brenda Finke South; and best friend, Troy Savant.

Services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
