Harriet June Crabb, 92, lifelong resident of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at Hutson Wood on August 1, 2021.

June, as she was known, was born on August 25, 1928, in Brazil, Indiana the daughter of Fred L. and Fanny Gladys (West) Crabb. She graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1947. She worked at Weaver and Carpenter Abstracting for her entire working career as she inherited the business from Mr. Carpenter. She sold her business, June Crabb Abstracting, to First Bank and Trust where she continued working for several years.

June was a member of the East Side Christian Church, Clay County Republicans, Business and Professional Women’s Club, and the Community Theatre of Clay County. She also enjoyed reading, photography, watching IU Basketball, and babysitting.

June was preceded in death by her siblings: Ruth Nevada Crabb, John Thomas Crabb, William “Bill” F. Crabb, and Kenneth “Kenny” Laird Crabb.

She is survived by her sister Charlotte R. Crabb of Brazil, and a brother Larry Crabb and wife Nancy of Monticello, Indiana as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Memorial services will be held at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 2:00pm with Pastor Bill Brock officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 until time of services.
