Lavern Abolt, 97, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away with her loving family by her side on July 29, 2021.  She was born October 17, 1923, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to James Pierce and Geneva (Jones) Brown. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.    Lavern is survived by her daughter Patty Coffey; grandchildren Rick Coffey, Ron Coffey, Danielle Coffey; seven great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Bey Abolt, her son Robert Lee Abolt, her parents, and her sister Thelma Baker.  A celebration of life will be on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana, 47804. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 12:00p.m. until service time.
