TERRE HAUTE – Roy Joseph Charles, 48, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away August 31, 2021.
He was born on August 16, 1973, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Roy A. Charles and Connie (Beauchman) Milton.
Roy was a heavy machine operator. He was an amazing dad. Roy was known for being a hard worker and a great leader. He enjoyed helping others, and taking care of the elderly.
Roy was preceded in death by his stepfather William Milton and his son Joseph William Charles.
He is survived by his parents; his children Ashely Charles (Neil Kramer), Roy Joseph Charles Jr. (Lizzie), Justin Charles (Heather Walters), Reece Umphries, and Taylor Bousman; 8 grandchildren; and siblings Kristy Charles, Jennifer Milton, Sabrina Charles, Domonique Charles, Vernie Charles, Shawn Milton, and Denise Milton.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 1:00p.m. in Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Burial will follow in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.
