Stephen E. Schoffstall, Jr., 48 of Linden, IN, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born in Paris, IL on February 7, 1973 to Stephen Schoffstall and Candice Elkins Schoffstall.

Stephen attended Crosspoint Fellowship Church in Crawfordsville, IN. He liked to fish and loved to read and watch the History Channel. He was a gentle soul who was wise beyond his years.

Stephen is survived by his parents, Stephen and Candice Schoffstall, as well as his fiancé’ and love of his life Debbie Wright. He is also survived by his children; Stephen Schoffstall (Keli), Gunnar Schoffstall, Arianna Wright, Brooklynn Schoffstall, and Jack Dunn., and by his grandchildren; Maelea Schoffstall, Emma Schoffstall, Nadalee Pegg, and Mazakeen Kai Skinner. He also leaves behind a sister, Diana Murphy and three nephews; Logan Murphy, Nathan Murphy, and Blake Bass. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Beverly Elkins, his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Buchanan, two aunts; Laura Shattuck and Betty Sollars, and his infant twins.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Chris Cregger officiating. Burial will follow in New Vermillion Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
