Betty (Sawyer) Simpson, 93, of Clinton passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in her residence. She was born February 27, 1928 in Brazil to Giss Sawyer and Helen Felty Sawyer.

Survivors include her son, Gary Simpson; sister, June Hensley; brother-in-law, Clifford Simpson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Simpson; daughter, Brenda Simpson; her parents; brothers, William and Thomas Sawyer; sister, Ruth Robinson; and sister-in-law, Helen Simpson.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Woodlawn Cemetery with Mark Grayless officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. There will be no visitation.
