Michael Vincent D’Auria, 42, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away, September 20, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1979, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Bob D’Auria and Ruth (Taylor) D’Auria. Michael retired from the City of Clinton as a Police Officer. He served the City of Clinton from 2005-2020. He was a general instructor, fire arms instructor, and defensive tactics instructor. He provided motorcycle patrol when it was in operations, and was a Glock armorer for the department. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He had an amazing sense of humor, making people laugh and dancing. He was an avid knife collector. He participated in Ju-Jit-Su for many years, as well as a great football player and wrestler at South High School. He was a loving father to his two sons, who were the light of his life. He is survived by his wife Heather (Garner) D’Auria; sons Isaiah D’Auria and Fedor D’Auria; mother Ruth D’Auria; sister Wendy D’Auria (Nicole Chatman), Uncle Tom D’Auria of Terre Haute and Greg D’Auria (Karen) of Connecticut, and a host of cousins; father and mother-in-law John and Rose Garner; brother-in-law and best friend Chris Garner; sister and brother-in-laws Jean and Bryan Case, Renee and Jason Chatman; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Greiner Funeral Home, at 1:00p.m. Christopher Gill will officiate. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, from 11:00a.m. until service time.
