Vance L. Pyle, 87 of Brazil, formerly of Swayzee, Indiana passed away October 31, 2021, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

He was born July 11, 1934, in Swayzee, the son of Lester and Essa Vance Pyle. He graduated from Swayzee High School 1952 and following graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served in Alaska during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1957.

On August 1, 1958, Vance was united in marriage to Myrna Rue Bedwell Pyle. Together, they raised their family in the Swayzee area. They were members of the First Church of the Nazarene in Marion, IN.

Vance worked at the RCA plant and then at the GM Plant in Marion for over 33 years. He was always one to take care of home repairs and improvements. Over 11 years ago, Vance and Myrna moved to Clay County. They have made several friends in their neighborhood and have enjoyed playing Euchre at the Senior Citizens Center in Brazil. They have wintered in Avon Park, Florida for the past 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Patty Burger; one son, Damon Pyle and one daughter, Teresa Mae Welsh.

Survivors include his wife Myrna Pyle of Brazil; one daughter Julie Rayle and husband Tim of Brazil; one son in law, Greg Welsh of Ft. Wayne; two granddaughters, Ginger Rayle and Carol Dailey; one sister Carolyn Sue Pyle of Marion and one brother Roger Pyle (Cindy) of Kokomo; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
