Peter “Pete” E. Cooksey, 27, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away at home, on January 5, 2022 unexpectedly.

Pete was born on July 11, 1994, the son of Cletus Bryan and Dana (Gilbert) Cooksey. Pete worked at Sony, in Terre Haute, Indiana for several years. He enjoyed, traveling with his best friend Taylor Sanders, reading, video gaming, studying history, reading the Bible, fishing, and “debating”.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Sara Williams, Walter Gilbert, and a step-maternal grandfather Charles Gabbard.

Pete leaves behind his parents: Dana Cooksey and Bryan and Lisa Cooksey; paternal grandparents: Cletus C. and Beth Cooksey; siblings: Bryan Michael Cooksey, Casey Marie Cooksey, Lenabelle Cooksey, and Adam Butler; as well as many, many extended family members and friends.

At Pete’s request, cremation services have been chosen. French Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.
