Anna Mae Sanders, 101, passed away January 27, 2022. Anna was born to the late Jess and Nannie (Steele) Johnson on January 10, 1921 in Corbin, Kentucky.
Anna married Fred Reeves on December 25, 1937 and moved to Brazil in 1944. She worked for over 25 years at Quaker Maid. Anna loved to spend time outside, fishing and working in her flower garden. She spent many winters in Fort Myers, Florida where she enjoyed the company of her son and daughter in law, Mary Jane (Reeves) Walker. Anna was very creative and enjoyed remodeling homes. She loved to play bingo.
Anna is preceded in death by her children, Leslee Lee, Lora Marie, Sara Kay, and Randy Dee, all in infancy, Henry Wayne, and Laverne, brothers, Tommy and Henry Johnson, husbands, Fred Reeves, Wayne Patchett, and Charles Sanders.
Anna is survived by her two daughters, Joann Ousley and Donna Mullenix, grandchildren, Kenny, Tammy, Billy, Joey, Brandy, Shane, and Blake, 13 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 1st from 1-3 PM at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service will begin at 3 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society in Anna’s honor.
