Sallie Jane Johnson, 88, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away January 29, 2022. She was born July 22, 1933, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Rose and Harmen Hutker. She graduated from Wiley High School in 1951. She went on, and graduated from Indiana State University, with a Masters Degree in Business and Physical Education. Sallie married Marvin L. Johnson on December 19, 1954. She was a teacher at Black Hawk, Glenn, Honey Creek, and Schulte. She retired as Head of Finances for the Civil Engineering Division of the Indiana Air National Guard. Sallie is preceded in death by her sisters Nancy Huknocker and Pattie McKeen; her parents Rose and Harmen Hutker; mother and father-in-law Alice and Elmer Johnson; brothers and sister-in-law Duane Johnson, Bob Shaffer, Veryl Johnson, and Martha Johnson. Sallie is survived by her husband Marvin Johnson; twin sister Sue Shaffer; children Larry Johnson (Cathy), Sara Richmond (Kevin); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Cremation has been chosen, no services are scheduled at this time.
