Garrett Bell, 83, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away February 11, 2022. He was born October 9, 1938, in Pimento, Indiana to Curtis Bell and Essa Ferol (Manuel) Bell. Garrett was a faithful member of Saints Home Church of God In Christ, where he served as Deacon. Garrett was the patriarch of his family. He had an outgoing personality, and always a joke to tell or humorous saying to share. He enjoyed yard selling and thrifting. He was known for buying, trading, and selling. Garrett retired from Stran Steel and also Vigo County School Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life, his wife of 56 years Mary Bell; grandchildren Brandy Bell-Carey and Zackary Lawson; and great granddaughter Desiree Lawson; also siblings Joellen (Bell) McKnight, Stuart Bradshaw, Billie Bradshaw, Venor Bell, Gladys Bell, Dwight Bradshaw, Geraldine Bradshaw, Allison Carl Bradshaw and Robert Bradshaw . He is survived by his children Dwayne Lawson (Becky), Sherri Bulger (Douglas), Curtis Bell (Rebecca) and Trent Bell (Lynn); grandchildren Dorcas Lawson, Devin Blazwich, Dawn Winters, D.J. Lawson, Todd Bell, Kevin Harris, Kadin Bell, Otis Parks, and Paryis Miller; great grandchildren Ryder, Rylon, Xavior, Maliyah, Elaiyah, Angelina, Addison, Rico, Aaron, Adriana, Alexander and Gabrielle; great greatgrandchildren Amara, Rynn and Rylon Jr.; and sibling Gregory Curtis Bell (Mary); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. at Saints Home Church of God In Christ, 2210 N 13th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47804. Pastor Mark J. Blade will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:00a.m. until service time.
