
Nancy Eleanor Nasser, 78, of Terre Haute, Indiana died on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. after suffering a brief illness at Meadows Manor North Rehabilitation Facility surrounded by her beloved family. Nancy was born on January 29, 1944, to John Edward Bates and Lillian Nevins Bates.
Nancy worked tirelessly and endlessly as a Chiropractic Assistant along side her late husband Dr. Dr. Stephen C. Nasser, DC, located in Terre Haute, IN. Together, they had a vibrant practice serving thousands of patients in the greater Wabash Valley for the last 41 years. Nancy was married to the late Dr. Stephen C. Nasser, DC, who preceded her in death on January 20, 2014.
Nancy was a member of St. George Orthodox Church, located in Terre Haute, Indiana, and was an active member of the Ladies Society. Nancy was well known in life for her creativity and she was an artist in her younger years and expressed her art mainly through her phenomenal talent as a seamstress. Nancy viewed life with an open mind and open heart. She spent most of her life traveling the world, reading books and experiencing all the world has to offer. Like most parents, Nancy unconditionally loved their only daughter – Stefani Georgette Nasser – and Stefani equally loved her mother. In her later years, Nancy enjoyed traveling with Stefani from Arizona, to New York and beyond.
Nancy is survived by their beloved daughter, Stefani Georgette Nasser, Queens, New York; two sisters: Jamie Bates Cain and Suzanne Bates Noble, one brother: Edward Bates, and several close cousins including Gloria Nasser and her children, Joshua Joseph Nasser, Moses Edward Nasser, Anthony William George Nasser; Dr. William and Wanda Nasser and their family; Dr. Tony K. Nasser and his family, Taylor Kay Nasser, Tiah Kay Nasser, William “Billy” K. Nasser II, Jayci K. Nasser; Malooley family including, George and Cathy Malooley Azar and their family; Bill and Sandy Malooley Kassis and their family; Joe and Char Malooley Wade and their family; Sergei and Lorna Malooley and their children; John and Marsha Malooley Irvin and their family; Jack and Laura Hendrix and their family; Skander and Tracy Nasser and their family; Beverly Nasser Radez and her family; Doloris “Dee” Nasser Polifroni and her family; Betty Nasser Slyby and her family; Chuck Malooley and his family; Michael Malooley and family; George Nasser and his family; Helen Corey and family; Dn. Elias Corey and family; Kal and Christy Ellis and family; best friend, Jackie Crane-Frost and several great cousins.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, her in-laws, N. George Nasser and Ethel Malooley Nasser, and several close cousins including Dr. William K. Nasser, Bob Corey, Skander and Helen Nasser, Candy Nasser, Bob and Joan Nasser, Zianna Nasser Alley, Sergei Malooley, Abe and Kate Malooley, Joe Malooley, Moses and Lutefa Malooley, Esther Nasser Dorsey and several other family members.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, @ 10:30 AM in St. George Orthodox Church, located in Terre Haute, IN, with the V. Rev. Fr. Amin Houli and Arch Dn. Elias Corey presiding. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at St. George Church and on Tuesday 9:30 AM until the Service. Nancy will be buried in Highland Lawn Cemetery. A Meal of Mercy will be held at the Saratoga Restaurant immediately following Burial.
Nancy will be escorted to her final resting place by her family members including Kaleel M. Ellis III, Dr. Tony K. Nasser, Billy K. Nasser, Joshua J.Nasser, Moses E. Nasser and Stephen A. Opong.
