Josephine Youngblood, 85 of West Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Vermillion County on May 24, 1936 to Russell Hill and Ollie Helena Hill.

Josephine enjoyed going on gambling trips with her sister and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed gardening and going on golf cart rides with her good friend Linda, she loved her dogs and spending time with her grandchildren.

Josephine is survived by three children; Virginia Mitchell, Robert Hinote, and Clarence Bricker, her sister Elsie Huffman, and an abundance of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Youngblood, son Harry Hinote, grandson Shawn Strange, and sister Hazel Conley.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Ryan Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
