William Fay Driscoll, Bill, age 85, passed from this earth, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on 2/19/2022.

William was born to Edward and Virginia (Carney) Driscoll on August 19, 1936, in Lafayette, Indiana.

William graduated from Jefferson High School, in Lafayette. Following that, he served for 5 years in the Air Force as a Weather Instructor. He then attended Purdue University, where he received a degree from the school of Pharmacy in 1963.

He married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Jane Smith in 1956. William and Marjorie moved to Terre Haute in 1963. Together they had 4 children.

William served as the pharmacist at Gillis Drug Store and at Indiana State University, before retiring in 1996.

During his lifetime William was an avid Purdue and Indiana State fan. He followed his teams to the Rose Bowl to cheer on the Boilermakers in 1967, and followed the Sycamore basketball team to the NCAA games. He was a member of the Terre Haute Elks, where he enjoyed bowling, playing cards and socializing with his friends.

You could often find William attending his children’s, grandchildrens and great grandchildren’s sporting events.

Preceding him in death are his parents and his son, Timothy.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, three daughters Jessica (Craig) Stover, Karen (Dean) Murphy, and Cynthia Driscoll.

Grandchildren Morgyn Stover, Hannah Stover, Tim Murphy, Ben Murphy and Brooke (Brandon) Bender.

Great Grandchildren Aiden Bender and Drake Bender.

A celebration of life for William will be held at a later date.
