Dorothy Agnes Shuman, 97, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, in Majestic Care of Terre Haute. She was born in Terre Haute on July 3, 1924 to Daniel Jarvis and Vina Marshall Lowe. Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Terre Haute. She was a homemaker, and she raised her grandkids. Being a mother and grandmother was her everything. She loved camping at Fowler Park with her husband. She was a Nascar fan, her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. She also loved flowers and spending time in her flower garden. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Shuman (d. 12/6/2006), son, Orville “Rusty” King, daughter, Alice “A.J.” Green, brothers; Ed Jarvis Sr., and John Jarvis, and sister, Alice Richey. She is survived by son, John “Butch” King (Nancy), daughter, Kay Rickard, grandchildren; Ashley Rogers (Justin), Stacey Burns (Tim), Monty King (Leslie), and Kayla, and great grandchildren; Emerie and Phenix Rogers, and Brittany Henry. Graveside services for Dorothy will be Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2 pm in Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute.
