Jerry Lee McCarty, 71, of Clinton, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Majestic Care of Deming. He was born on July 23, 1950, in Terre Haute, to Thurman and Marcella (Adams) McCarty.
Jerry is survived by his sons, Aaron McCarty and wife Candace of Cleveland, Ohio and Ryan McCarty and fiancée Sandra Washburn-Hammond of Riley; a granddaughter, Maridyn McCarty of Cleveland; step-grandchildren, Bailey and Carter Hammond; aunt, Margaret Cox of Terre Haute; former wives who remained his friends, Donna Cooper of West Terre Haute and Mary Jean Roberts of Clinton; and step-children, Sarah Irwin and Jonathan Barnes.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Michael Eugene McCarty.

Jerry graduated from West Vigo High School in 1968. He served in the United States Army. He worked and retired after many years of dedicated service for PSI/Duke Energy. Jerry was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He loved to work on his Corvettes and go to car shows. He was a wonderful dad and will be truly missed by his family.

Jerry will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park with family and close friends in attendance. His family takes comfort knowing that he is reunited with those who have gone on before.
