Fredie Gene Light, Sr., 70 of Terre Haute, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in IU Health Methodist Hospital.  He was born in Clay County on January 25, 1952 to Wilbur Light and Mary Louise Crouse Light.

Fredie was a U.S. Air Force veteran and worked as a truck driver and mechanic.  He would do anything to help someone in need.

Fredie is survived by six children; Kimberly Lawson, Kristie Uselman, Fredie Light, Jr., Scotty Light, Ashley Stevens, and Courtney Higgins.  He is also survived by two brothers, Gary Light and Alvie Light, as well as a sister, Connie Kennedy, and his uncle Don and aunt Jerri, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a brother, Randy Light.

Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home.  To honor Fredie, the family encourages everyone to drive their show car to the funeral.
