William Bradley “Brad” Allen passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 11, 2022. Brad was born to Larry and Linda (Bullerdick) Allen on May 23, 1972.
Brad was a 1990 graduate of South Putnam High School. He spent many years as a paramedic and firefighter working with the Poland Volunteer Fire Department. Brad worked for several years at IAC in Greencastle as a fork truck driver and a Union Steward. He also worked as a Traveling Project Manager for Apollo Retail facilitating CVS remodels across the country. The past few years Brad worked as an Appliance Repair Technician for SafeCare in Indianapolis. Brad enjoyed fishing, especially when he got to fish with his sons and his father. He loved to go camping, work in his garden, and play with his beloved pup, Jaxson. In his free time, you could find him in the garage tinkering with things and fixing anything that he could get his hands on. Some of his favorite things were camping, traveling, and sitting around the bonfire with a beer. If you couldn’t find Brad, he was more than likely at Buffalo Wild Wings, enjoying his spicy garlic wings and beer. Brad had a very strong love for life and a passion for helping everyone he came into contact with.
Brad is survived by his loving wife, Melissa, his parents, Larry and Linda Allen of Brazil, two sons, Timothy Allen (Samantha) of Indianapolis, and Brandon Allen (Renae) of Heritage Lake, step daughter, Courtney Wells (Brocton) of Greencastle, his beloved grandchildren, Riley, Kyler, Thatcher, Lauren, Declan, and Eilah, and one brother, Chad Allen.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 15th from 11-4 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. Per Brad’s request there will not be a formal funeral service, as there will be a celebration of his life held at a later date.
