Stephanie Brooke Butcher, 41, of Clay City, Indiana, was released from her long battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on May 1, 2022. Dedicating her life to her children, Stephanie will be remembered for her relentless determination and strength in the daily, courageous battle against the terminal prognosis given to her twenty years ago. Through these many years her dedication to fight the odds and LIVE has earned her a testimony of deepest respect and has touched the lives of family, friends, physicians, healthcare workers and all who knew her.
Stephanie will live on in her son, Landon Andrew Swearingen and daughter, Shaylee Brooke Swearingen. She is also survived by her father, Mark Butcher, step-mother, Anna Butcher; mother, Jill Wilson Spears, step-father, David Spears; sisters, Kendra Surface (and husband Quinn Surface); Maggie O’Heran (and husband PJ O’Heran); as well as five nephews and four nieces. In addition to her family and friends, Stephanie will also be sadly missed by her loyal, furry friend, and constant companion, Harlow Grace.

A celebration of life service will be held in Stephanie’s honor on May 5, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home 301 East 8th Street Clay City, Indiana 47841.
