
James R. “Jim” Worrell, 94 of West Terre Haute, died peacefully in his residence on May 2, 2022. He was born in West Terre Haute on April 22, 1928 to John Henry Worrell and Myrtle Moody Worrell.
James was a painter with Painter’s Local # 197, and also worked at Visqueen for 21 years. His memberships include the West Terre Haute Masonic Lodge # 687 F& AM, Scottish Rite, Zora Shrine, the Silent Men, Terre Haute Moose Lodge, and the Terre Haute Eagles Lodge. He was an avid hunter and coached Little League baseball in both Terre Haute and West Tere Haute.
He is survived by his three children; Michael Worrell, John Worrell (Marleena), and Rebecca Tredanari (Lee), as well as eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Patty Ellen Worrell, who passed away on December 30, 2010. He was also preceded in death by his siblings; Mary Miller, Frances Montgomery, Katherine Bell, John Worrell, and William Worrell.
Funeral services will be held at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bethesda Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Kindred Hospice, would be greatly appreciated.
