Dr. Robert Leo Kellems, 93, of Terre Haute passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 in his residence. He was born December 25, 1928 in Perry County, IN to Ross Kellems and Lola Hagedorn Kellems.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Walton Kellems; son, Patrick Kellems (Flo); daughter, Karen M. Kellems; step-son, John Snowden (Lisa); sisters, Ruth Peter and Margie Block; granddaughter, Barbara C. Kellems; step-grandchildren, Corey Snowden, Brice Snowden, Sydney Snowden, Roger Hunter, Brittany Taylor, and Ashley Norris; step-great-grandchildren, Roger Hunter III and Millie Hunter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Virginia Kellems; son, Robert Leo Kellems, Jr.; grandson, Alex Taerea Kellems; his parents; brothers, Victor, Hubert, Gene, and Edgar; sisters, Mildred Graves and Carol Ann Bailey.

Dr. Kellems was a Mathematics Professor at Indiana State University and was involved in the establishment of the I.S.U. Credit Union. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Noon Optimist Club and the Elks. Dr. Kellems was an Air Force Veteran, a pilot and enjoyed boating, fishing, stained glass and woodworking.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2022 in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Ben Syberg officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
