Sullivan County Jail Groundbreaking Date Set

Sullivan, In. – After being in the works for several years, a groundbreaking date for the new Sullivan County Jail is set for June 13 at 10 a.m. The total cost of the project will be around $40 million, which is slightly higher than the original estimated cost. The facility will be located on 15 acres of land on Section Street. Construction should take about 2 years to complete. The new jail will house around 180-190 inmates.
